A few years ago when we were living and working in Stjordal, Norway at Fagerhaug International School, I had the privilege of having a project management position for the school. My biggest project turning out to be creating a new website. It was one of the most challenging yet rewarding opportunities I have had. I learned so much in the process of building the website and to be honest, I thought it would be a one time thing.

When we came to Kenya and began working in sustainability and development I never imaginged that websites would be such a big need. The more I talked with various organizations, almost unanimously the priority was having a website.

Out of this came my first three projects, all websites, for Maranatha, A Rocha and Cafe Kivu. I am currently working on all three of them and it is my passion to not only make a great website to aid them in showing their work/story with other but also to identify individuals in each organization that I can train to learn the valuable skillset of managing and updating the website. This also allows me to use my strength of “context” to truly learn about an organization, their values and mission. Most importantly, to accurately represent them on a global level.
